A greener, more connected Southport — starting now.
Connecting people to nature, to each other, and to the place we call home.
Connecting people to nature, to each other, and to the place we call home.

Friends & neighbours sharing a meal at our 'Great Big Green Lunch' — Southport Market 2026.

The Hearth Network is Southport's community sustainability organisation. We run programmes that connect people to nature, to each other and to the idea that a greener, more connected Southport is possible right now. From forest school to community lunches, beach cleans to sustainable sewing — everything we do is rooted in this place and the people who call it home.

Mend, make & reuse
Sewing circles, repair workshops & clothes swaps, all designed to keep clothes and textiles out of landfill — and pass on the skills to make things last. Because caring for what we have is caring for the earth.

Out in nature, together
Forest School for young people, outdoor sessions for older neighbours, beach cleans along the Sefton Coast and somatic earth circles— time in nature that's good for people and for the place we share.

A place at the table
From the Big Green Lunch to meals for neighbours who'd otherwise eat alone — bringing people together around good food. Because a sustainable community is one where everyone belongs.
