Who We Are

Our History

The Hearth is a grassroots community interest company based in Southport, dedicated to advancing sustainability and ESG through collaboration. We connect councils, anchor organisations, and SMEs via the CASA business network, strengthening local services and supply chains. Through events like The Great Big Green Lunch and regular beach cleans, we empower communities to make greener choices and take local action. Our mission is to support inclusive, community-led solutions that promote environmental and social wellbeing. We aim to make Southport a green town to live, work, and visit—where sustainability is accessible, businesses thrive responsibly, and people feel proud of their place.

The Hearth Network: Empowering Communities

Who We Work With

The Hearth Network CIC thrives through collaboration. Our partners span local government, community organisations, environmental groups, and small businesses—all united by a shared commitment to sustainability and social impact.

 Public Sector & Infrastructure

We work closely with Sefton Council, aligning with its 2030 vision and regeneration plans. Council officers support our initiatives, including the CASA network and our proposed Sustainability Hub.

Sefton CVS is a key ally in community engagement, offering support with volunteer recruitment, bid development, and strategic networking.

Local Business & Venue Collaborators

Through the CASA business network, we connect with SMEs and social enterprises committed to ESG. We also collaborate with Southport Market and other local venues to host inclusive, sustainability-focused events.

Community & Creative Organisations

Our partners include local churches, community centres, and creative practitioners who help deliver workshops, wellbeing activities, and circular economy programmes—from sewing and upcycling to forest school sessions.
