Join The Hearth Network in Making a Difference

 Earth Day Southport is a flagship event by The Hearth and the CASA Business Network, uniting schools, businesses, and community groups to celebrate sustainability. It features workshops, stalls, and immersive experiences, promoting climate action and local green enterprise. 

 The Great Big Green Lunch is a hybrid event by The Hearth Network CIC, combining The Big Lunch and Great Big Green Week. It promotes sustainability and community through shared meals, workshops, and creative activities like upcycled bunting and climate-friendly feasts. The June 2025 event drew over 100 attendees and inspired plans for future seasonal gatherings 

 The Great British Beach Clean is a national citizen science event led by the Marine Conservation Society. Volunteers clean beaches and record litter data to support environmental policy and research. In Southport, The Hearth and CASA Business Network host a local clean-up with storytelling and community engagement, aligning with Sefton’s 2030 Vision and promoting coastal stewardship

 CASA (Climate And Sustainability Action) is a grassroots business network in Southport and Sefton. It connects SMEs, creatives, and anchor institutions to build a sustainable local economy. Members pledge to reduce waste, support local, and lead with purpose. CASA hosts events, offers training, and drives climate action through collaboration 

The Hearth Network CIC runs free community workshops that teach mending, upcycling, and creative reuse of textiles. Each session includes hands-on activities, a short talk on textile waste, and a shared meal. These workshops reduce landfill waste, promote sustainable living, and foster inclusion and wellbeing
